Guess what! We're having a....

World, meet Mason James Scott...our SON.

If you look towards the right in this one you can make out his little face...the little booger looked right at us (his eyes are still closed so technically he didn't but you know what I mean).  If you look close you can see his facial bones, little nose and jaw...

He then, in typical Scott boy style, turned his little butt around and spread his legs to show us what he's got.  He's proud.  Can't say I blame him.  Dr. Winch's response tickled Ryan to no end..."Wow, well, thats a tribute to dad if I ever saw one."  High five Mason.  My friend Tyler put it best: "well, this way you only have to worry about one prick and not the rest of the world's!" Poor Tyler has twins...a boy and a girl...he has to worry about ALL of them! ;)

So, we are having a boy and we are very excited.  He's growing right on track and all his organs seem to be forming perfectly.  Doc zoomed in and showed us the 4 chambered heart, kidneys and all sorts of good things that Mason's working hard to grow.  He said we've got ourselves a good lookin' healthy little boy in there. :)

It's amazing to think about what is already formed.  At 17 weeks he's got finger prints, he's started growing hair, his bones are hardening and he's learning to breathe.  He's able to suck his thumb and wiggle his arms and legs and his body is catching up to his giant head in growth.  He should be about 5 inches from crown to rump and roughly the size of an onion.  Grow, Mason, Grow!!!

Next dr. appt is April 4th.  Stay tuned for more adventures!
